In world where MySpace, Facebook and Twitter are amongst the top websites on the internet (at the time of writing facebook is #3, only behind Google and Yahoo!)
AddThis is fast becoming an essential gadget to have.
"Increase your traffic and page rank with the #1 bookmarking and sharing service, served over 20 billion times per month." states AddThis.
If you don't know what AddThis is, the chances are you've probably seen it somewhere. Glance over to the top right of this blog and hover over the graphic with "SHARE" written on it.
Basically, AddThis allows your readers to instantly share your webpages (or blogs) using their favorite social networking account - whether this be Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Delicious, StumbleUpon, Digg, Google or countless others. It also allows for easy bookmarking (adding to your favorites) and printing.
AddThis state the benefits of their service as follows:
1) makes it very easy for your visitors to bookmark your website or blog, and subscribe to your feeds
2) helps your visitors promote your website or blog to the social bookmark services, which will bring you more traffic
3) saves real-estate (and headaches) on your website; you use just one button for all bookmarking services and for all feed readers, we worry about the other buttons.
Over the past months I've added AddThis to many of my
customers websites. If you'd like it added to yours, holler and I'd be happy to oblige.
